With news of 'suspicious' death of Bob Woolmer making rounds today morning, the much anticipated emotional outing for Pakistan against Zimbabwe in their last match was under threat for a brief period. However, the Pakistani players were asked to play. So it turned out well for Pakistan, the least they can do for Bob, was to win this match. Win, they did, which also meant that the doors closed on Zimbabwe. However, Imran Nazir was the last man I would have thought, that will blaze today. But then he showed signs of improvement in the previous game against Ireland too. I have always liked this bloke for his stunning fielding, but he always batted less than his abilities. He was more like Kaif of our team. So then, Inzy would have wanted to sign off in a glorious style. So he went berserk against the hapless Zimbabwean bowlers. He clouted the ball for quite a few hits over the ropes, but failed when he attempted one too many. Anyway, it was a very emotional moment for everyone involved and quite aptly received a guard of honor from his team mates. Inzy will always be missed in the field, but more importantly in the post match presentation. I am sure he has a separate fan following for his " First of all, Bismillah ............ Thanks to god, etc etc". He was a great ambassador for the game, a wonderful captain, whose services will be missed by Pakistan.
Like everyone else, am keenly awaiting the forensic results. I still have this nagging feeling that a foul play might be involved in his tragic death. Moving on to our group, now that Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh comprehensively, the equation boils down to the all important game between India and Sri Lanka. No more equations to bother with, it is pretty straight forward, beat Sri Lanka and get through. If that happens, I do not think Bangladesh has any chance at all, because, they have to repeat what India did and even more !!! So lets all cheer for India..........

It is not so happy moment for many of his fans. And for me it is really not, coz i recently started liking him. In fact I used to hate him when he was younger. I always thought he had some attitude problem. But when I witnessed one of his greatest performance in India, I became his fan. I dont remember the date, venue. But the situation was last over 3 or 4 runs to win, When sachin had to bowl, he took 3 balls to read him, kept his cool and then hit a boundary. That day I thought, This guy is the coolest guy under pressure. Like every other fan, I thought he must be playing a casual series at home and then anounce his retirement. Very sad moment for cricket fans, and I dunno whats next for Pakistanis.
Did u hate him really?? i dint know tht....Rem how we used to hav one or two fav players from each country, when we were younger...i still do tht !!!
I know which game u r talkin abt....I think Pak was chasing a total over 300, they needed 4 or 5 of last over and sachin bowled. infact, i think he played 4 or 5 dot balls n last ball he hit a boundary. am not sure though !!!! I also rem the test match when he and mushtaq ahmed added 57 for the last wicket, i think, against Zim to seal a victory !!!
